Penn State Spring Break
Penn State Spring Break

We are eager to invite you into an opportunity to support the Penn State Navigators as we travel to Greensboro, North Carolina over Spring Break (March 3rd-11th)  If you aren't familiar with us, The Navigators is a Christian organization located all over the country and world.  We are invested in many different areas of ministry with a large focus on college campuses.

The Navigators at Penn State have the opportunity to travel to where it’s (hopefully) a bit warmer to serve the community in Greensboro. We will be doing service projects through a partnership with “Tiny Houses Greensboro”-a nonprofit organization that builds safe, affordable homes for the homeless. Aside from service, we will also be attending the national Navigators African-American Congress on Discipleship. This conference will allow us to grow in our understanding of ethnic identity and unity, and to be better equipped as disciple-makers.  As a student organization, we normally receive $5000 from Penn State to help pay for Spring Break, but that funding will not be available this year.  That’s why we’re inviting you to partner with us.  Our goal is to raise $5000 (or more) in order to make Spring Break as affordable as possible.  We don’t want anyone to miss out on this great opportunity!

To be clear, the donations will be evenly distributed to all of the students attending the trip. We encourage you to prayerfully consider investing financially into both the community of Greensboro and the community of students who will be making the trip to serve. With a gift of $100 you could easily scholarship one student.  Would you consider giving to scholarship 1-2 students for this week of service?

We expect to grow in awareness of God’s work outside campus, and at the same time, grow in community with one another. We also would ask that you consider being a partner of ours through prayer. We would greatly appreciate any donation, and your commitment to pray for safe travels, students’ growth, and that God would be tangibly working in the hearts of the people of Greensboro.  Thank you for your partnership!
