Advance 2018 has been in the making for decades. This year, being the first of many, a handful of African-American participants will spend 4 weeks serving in Nassau, Bahamas while growing in their relationship with God and being trained in discipleship, evangelism and leadership development. This program combines the best of both a summer mission trip and training program, making it the most ideal short-term endeavor for black students, alumni, military personnel, and every day workers. As The Navigators value cross-cultural experiences and overseas missions, this program seeks to address the difficulties African-Americans face when it comes to engaging in mission work. The location is financially feasible, includes a flight that does not take away time on the field, will not require participants to learn a new language yet maintains a unique cultural exchange, and includes in-country participants hungry and thirsty for discipleship training.
Would you consider joining us and sending the 9 participants and 5 staff committed to giving their summer to this endeavor? Each participant is tasked to raise $2300 to cover the cost of food, housing and transportation and the program would love to raise $8,000 to provide scholarships. Would you prayerfully consider contributing to remove any financial obstacles from casting a vision for discipleship and growing a heart for the nations through this trip? Gifts of $250, $500 or larger would be appreciated and dispersed among the team. Thank you so much for impacting the next generation of African-American leaders and laborers.
